With two out and none on, Brewers batter Ortiz took a 1-0 cutter from Diamondbacks pitcher Merrill Kelly for a called first strike before striking out. Replays indicate the pitch was located off the outer edge of home plate and thigh-high (px 1.02, pz 2.48), the call was incorrect.* At the time of the ejection, the Diamondbacks were leading, 3-0. The Diamondbacks ultimately won the contest, 5-0.
