Replays indicate the pitch was located over the outer half of home plate and at the midpoint (px 0.26, pz 3.69 [sz_top 3.62 / RAD 3.74]), the call was correct (Kotsay was ejected after the first pitch of the following inning, a correct ball call).* At the time of the ejection, the game was tied, 1-1. The Giants ultimately won the contest, 4-2, in 10 innings.
