In the 8th, with none out and two on, Angels batter Schanuel took a 3-2 fastball from Mariners pitcher Ryne Stanek for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the heart of home plate and above the hollow of the knee (px -0.23, pz 1.57 [sz_bot 1.33 / RAD 1.21]), the call was correct. At the time of Schanuel's ejection, the Mariners were leading, 1-0. The Angels ultimately won the contest, 3-1.
