1B Umpire Ron Kulpa ejected Mets manager Buck Showalter (check swing HBP call) in the top of the 8th inning of the #Brewers-#Mets game. With two out and two on, Brewers batter Joey Wiemer attempted to check his swing on a 0-1 sinker from Mets pitcher Adam Ottavino, ruled a hit-by-pitch by HP Umpire Carlos Torres and affirmed as no swing by 1B Umpire Kulpa. At the time of the ejection, the Brewers were leading, 5-2. The Brewers ultimately won the contest, 5-2.
