Carpenter then took a 2-2 fastball from Stratton for a called third strike, resulting in Blake's ejection. Replays indicate the pitch was located off the outer edge of home plate and thigh-high (px -0.99, pz 2.16), the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejections, the game was tied, 6-6. The Cardinals ultimately won the contest, 12-9.
