HP Umpire Pat Hoberg ejected Yankees manager Aaron Boone (balk call; QOCY) in the bottom of the 7th inning of the #Yankees-#Royals game. With none out and one on (R2), Yankees pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga was called for a balk by HP Umpire Hoberg during Royals batter Ryan O'Hearn's plate appearance. Replays indicate Loaisiga during his motion from stretch to set position start-stopped before disengaging the rubber, the call was correct. Play was reviewed and affirmed by the UEFL Appeals Board (5-4), the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Yankees were leading, 1-0. The Yankees ultimately won the contest, 8-6.
