1B Umpire Lance Barrett ejected Angels Manager Joe Maddon (check swing ball three call) in the bottom of the 6th inning of the #Angels-#Athletics game. With none out and none on, A's batter Matt Chapman attempted to check his swing on 0-1 and 2-1 sliders from Angels pitcher Dylan Bundy, ruled balls by HP Umpire Jim Reynolds and affirmed on appeal by 1B Umpire Barrett. Play was reviewed and adjudicated by the UEFL Appeals Board (check swing call), the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the Angels were leading, 4-2. The Athletics ultimately won the contest, 5-4, in 10 innings.
