Injury Scout - Minnesota Heat Ills Gerry Davis

HP Umpire Gerry Davis left Sunday's Rangers-Twins game in Minnesota for a reportedly heat-related reason.

Davis left the game after the conclusion of the seventh inning. Game-time weather at Target Field was listed as 81 degrees and partly cloudy; local reports indicated humidity was 57%.

1B Umpire Brian Knight took over behind home plate and assumed acting Crew Chief duties with 2B Umpire Brennan Miller shifting to first base and 3B Umpire Pat Hoberg remaining on the left field line. Miller had already worked a plate earlier during the Rangers-Twins series, which may have contributed to the decision to grant Knight the assignment.
