HP Umpire Andy Fletcher ejected Marlins P Dan Straily and Manager Don Mattingly (throwing at after warnings; QOCU) in the bottom of the 2nd inning of the Marlins-Giants game. With one out and one on, Giants batter Buster Posey took a first-pitch fastball from Straily for a hit-by-pitch. Replays indicate the pitch was located inside and bicep-high; in the top of the inning, Giants pitcher Dereck Rodriguez hit Marlins batter Lewis Brinson with a first-pitch fastball as well, resulting in warnings and a brief argument from Mattingly; the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejections, the Giants were leading, 3-0. The Giants ultimately won the contest, 6-3.
