With two out and the bases loaded, Tigers batter Niko Goodrum took called first and second strikes from A's pitcher Chris Bassitt before striking out. Replays indicate the strike one call was located over the outer edge of home plate and belt-high (px -.783, pz 2.978) while the strike two call was located over the outer edge of home plate and thigh-high (px -.852, pz 2.256), the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the game was tied, 0-0. The A's ultimately won the contest, 3-0.
