With none out and none on, Garcia took a 1-2 fastball for a hit-by-pitch. Replays indicate the pitch struck Garcia on his left torso; warnings had previously been issued, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejections, the Cubs were leading, 5-1. The Cubs ultimately won the contest, 5-4.
