3B Umpire Bob Davidson ejected Dodgers Manager Don Mattingly for arguing a Replay Review decision that affirmed 1B Umpire Jerry Layne's catch (out) call in the bottom of the 4th inning of the Marlins-Dodgers game. With none out and none on, Dodgers batter Howie Kendrick hit a 1-1 fastball from Marlins pitcher Jarred Cosart on a line drive to right field, where right fielder Giancarlo Stanton attempted to make a diving catch. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Dodgers Manager Don Mattingly, Layne's ruling of "out" was affirmed; Play was appealed and denied by the UEFL Appeals Board, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejection, the Marlins were leading, 2-0. The Marlins ultimately won the contest, 5-4.
