Upon Instant Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Dodgers Manager Mattingly, Nauert's ruling that Puig was retired at third base for the third out of the inning prior to Gordon's touch of home plate was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Dodgers were leading, 6-2. The Dodgers ultimately won the contest, 6-3.
