With one out and none on, Joyce took a 1-1 cutter from Blue Jays pitcher Casey Janssen for a called second strike before striking out on the following changeup. Replays indicate the pitch was located off the inner edge of home plate and thigh high (px .936, pz 1.813), the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the Blue Jays were leading, 6-3. The Blue Jays ultimately won the contest, 6-3.
