HP Umpire Bill Miller ejected Tigers Manager Brad Ausmus for arguing a strike three call in the top of the 3rd inning of the Tigers-Blue Jays game. With two out and two on, Tigers batter Alex Avila took a 0-2 changeup from Blue Jays pitcher Mark Buehrle for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located off the outer edge of home plate and belt high (px -.952, pz 2.658), the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the Tigers were leading, 2-0. The Blue Jays ultimately won the contest, 6-5, in 19 innings.
