2B Umpire Will Little ejected Cardinals Manager Mike Matheny for arguing a Replay Review decision that upheld Little's safe call in the top of the 6th inning of the Brewers-Cardinals game. With none out and one on, Brewers batter Elian Herrera hit a 0-1 cutter from Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright on a line drive to second baseman Kolten Wong, who threw to shortstop Jhonny Peralta as Brewers baserunner R1 Jean Segura arrived at second base. Upon Replay Review, Little's ruling was affirmed as replays indicate Peralta did not catch the ball and tag second base prior to Segura's touch arrival, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Brewers were leading, 3-0. At the time of the ejection, the Brewers were leading, 6-0. The Brewers ultimately won the contest, 7-4.
