Instant Replay Review confirmed 2B Umpire Will Little's out call in the top of the 4th and upheld Little's out call in the top of the 9th inning of the Rays-Yankees game. In the 4th, with one out and one on, Rays batter Sean Rodriguez singled on a line drive to right fielder Alfonso Soriano, who threw to shortstop Derek Jeter as Rodriguez slid into second base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Rays Manager Joe Maddon, Little's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the game was tied, 2-2.

In the 9th, with none out and one on, Rays batter Ben Zobrist grounded to first baseman Kelly Johnson, who threw to shortstop Jeter as Rays baserunner R2 Desmond Jennings slid into second base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a request by Rays Manager Maddon and initiation by Crew Chief Ted Barrett, Little's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Rays were leading, 5-3. The Rays ultimately won the contest, 6-3.
