Instant Replay Review upheld HP Umpire Bill Miller's out call in the top of the 8th inning of the Blue Jays-Athletics game. With two out and one on, Blue Jays batter Jose Bautista hit a ground ball to Athletics left fielder Craig Gentry, who threw to shortstop Jed Lowrie to catcher Derek Norris as Blue Jays baserunner R1 Melky Cabrera slid into home plate. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Blue Jays Manager John Gibbons, Miller's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Athletics were leading, 3-1. The Athletics ultimately won the contest, 5-1.
