2B Umpire Greg Gibson ejected Rays Manager Joe Maddon for arguing warnings issued by HP Umpire Quinn Wolcott in the bottom of the 6th inning of the Rays-Tigers game. With none out and none on, Tigers batter Ian Kinsler took a 0-0 knuckle curve for a hit-by-pitch. Replays indicate the HBP was located inside and shoulder high, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejection, the Rays were leading, 5-1. The Rays ultimately won the contest, 6-3.
