In the 2nd, with one out and one on, Rockies batter Charlie Culberson hit a 2-2 fastball from Diamondbacks pitcher Chase Anderson on a line drive to center fielder Ender Inciarte, who threw to second baseman Aaron Hill to catcher Miguel Montero as Rockies baserunner R1 Wilin Rosario slid into home plate. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Diamondbacks Manager Kirk Gibson, the Rockies were leading, 1-0.
In the 4th, with one out and one on, Rockies batter Rosario swung at and missed a 2-1 changeup from Diamondbacks pitcher Anderson for a second strike. Upon Replay Review as the result of a request by Diamondbacks Manager Gibson and initiation by Crew Chief Jerry Layne, Layne's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Diamondbacks were leading, 3-0. The Diamondbacks ultimately won the contest, 4-2.
