Instant Replay Review overturned 1B Umpire Tony Randazzo's safe call in the bottom of the 6th inning of the Rays-Orioles game. With one out and none on, Orioles batter J.J. Hardy hit a 2-2 changeup from Rays pitcher Brad Boxberger on the ground to third baseman Evan Longoria, who threw to first baseman James Loney as Hardy arrived at first base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Rays Manager Joe Maddon, Randazzo's rulings was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Rays were leading, 10-4. The Rays ultimately won the contest, 12-7.
