Instant Replay Review overturned 2B Umpire Joe West's safe call in the top of the 9th inning of the Athletics-Marlins game. With one out and one on, Athletics baserunner R1 Yoenis Cespedes attempted to steal second base on a Brandon Moss strikeout off Marlins catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who threw to shortstop Donovan Solano as Cespedes slid into the bag. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Marlins Manager Mike Redmond, West's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Athletics were leading, 6-5. The Athletics ultimately won the contest, 7-6, in 14 innings.
