Instant Replay Review overturned HP Umpire Marty Foster's Rule 7.13 no-call (out) in the top of the 9th inning of the Athletics-Marlins game. With none out and two on, Athletics batter Yoenis Cespedes hit a 1-1 sinker from Marlins pitcher Steve Cischek on the ground to right fielder Giancarlo Stanton, who threw to catcher Jeff Mathis as Athletics baserunner R2 Coco Crisp slid into home plate. Upon Replay Review as the result of a request by Athletics Manager Bob Melvin and initiation by Crew Chief Joe West, Foster's ruling was reversed (the runner was safe, no violation), the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the game was tied, 5-5. The Athletics ultimately won the contest, 9-5.
