With one out and one on, Dodgers batter Yasiel Puig hit a 2-2 fastball from Royals pitcher Danny Duffy on the ground to third baseman Danny Valencia, who threw to first baseman Eric Hosmer as Puig arrived at first base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Royals Manager Ned Yost, Knight's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the game was tied, 0-0. The Dodgers ultimately won the contest, 2-0.
