Instant Replay Review overturned 2B Umpire DJ Reyburn's out (catch) call in the top of the 9th inning of the Red Sox-Mariners game. With none out and none on, Red Sox batter David Ortiz hit a 2-1 fastball from Mariners pitcher Tom Wilhelmsen on a line drive to right fielder Stefen Romero, who attempted to catch the ball on the fly. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Red Sox Manager John Farrell, Reyburn's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Mariners were leading, 12-2. The Mariners ultimately won the contest, 12-3.
