Instant Replay Review overturned 2B Umpire Seth Buckminster's no catch (trap/safe) call in the top of the 1st inning of the Astros-Rays game. With two out and none on, Astros batter George Springer hit a 2-0 slider from Rays pitcher Jake Ordorizzi on a line drive to left fielder Brandon Guyer, who attempted to catch the sinking fly. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Rays Manager Joe Maddon, Buckminster's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the contest was tied, 0-0. The Rays ultimately won the contest, 8-0.
