Instant Replay Review overturned 1B Umpire Manny Gonzalez's out call in the bottom of the 2nd inning of the Phillies-Braves game. With one out and none on, Braves batter Chris Johnson hit a 3-2 fastball from Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels on the ground to second baseman Chase Utley, who threw to first baseman Ryan Howard as Johnson arrived at first base. Initially ruled safe (pulled foot) by Gonzalez, after consultation with HP Umpire Fieldin Culbreth, Gonzalez's call was changed to out. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Braves Manager Fredi Gonzalez, Gonzalez's ruling was reversed (back to safe [missed tag]), the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Phillies were leading, 1-0. The Phillies ultimately won the contest, 6-1, in 13 innings.
