Instant Replay Review confirmed HP Umpire Mike Estabrook's Rule 7.13 no-call (out) in the top of the 8th inning of the Blue Jays-Orioles game. With one out and one on, Blue Jays batter Edwin Encarnacion hit a 1-2 slider from Orioles pitcher Darren O'Day on a line drive to left fielder Nelson Cruz, who threw to shortstop J.J. Hardy to catcher Nick Hundley as Blue Jays baserunner R1 Jose Bautista slid into home plate. Upon Replay Review as the result of a request by Blue Jays Manager John Farrell and initiation by Crew Chief Jerry Layne, Estabrook's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Orioles were leading, 3-1. The Orioles ultimately won the contest, 3-2.
