Instant Replay Review overturned 2B Umpire Tim Welke's safe call in the top of the 4th inning of the Pirates-Marlins game. With one out and one on, Marlins pitcher Nathan Eovaldi threw to first baseman Jeff Baker to shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria to Baker in an attempt to pick off Pirates baserunner R1 Russell Martin. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Marlins Manager Mike Redmond, Welke's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the contest was tied, 2-2. The Pirates ultimately won the contest, 8-6, in 13 innings.
