Instant Replay Review overturned 1B Umpire Larry Vanover's safe call in the top of the 3rd inning of the Giants-Reds game. With two out and one on, Giants batter Buster Posey hit a 0-2 slider from Reds pitcher Mike Leake on the ground to third baseman Todd Frazier, who threw to first baseman Brayan Pena as Posey arrived at first base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Reds Manager Bryan Price, Vanover's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Giants were leading, 2-1. The Giants ultimately won the contest, 6-1.
