1B Umpire Bill Miller ejected Marlins Manager Mike Redmond for arguing a fair ball call in the bottom of the 7th inning of the Marlins-Rays game. With one out and two on, Rays batter Desmond Jennings hit a 0-2 fastball on a line along the first base foul line to right fielder Giancarlo Stanton. Replays indicate the airborne batted ball crossed the first base bag and landed on the foul line past the first base bag and in front of Miller's position, the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Marlins were leading, 9-6. The Marlins ultimately won the contest, 11-6.

Bill Miller now has 7 points in the UEFL Standings (3 Previous + 2 MLB + 2 Correct Call = 7).
Crew Chief Bill Miller now has 18 points in Crew Division (17 Previous + 1 Correct Call = 18).
*Pursuant to MLB Replay Review regulations, this play is not challengeable; Redmond allegedly argued that the play was challengeable and when told it was not by Miller, Redmond violated MLB's Standards for Removal from the Game guidelines, thus incurring his ejection. Pursuant to Regulation V.C. governing reviewable calls, a fair/foul ball call is reviewable only when the baseball lands at or beyond the set positions of the first or third base Umpire, which, replay conclusively demonstrates, Jennings' hit did not. Thus, Miller's ruling that the play was not reviewable was correct.
