Instant Replay Review overturned HP Umpire Angel Hernandez's safe call in the top of the 5th, upheld 1B Umpire Adrian Johnson's out call in the bottom of the 7th and upheld 3B Umpire Larry Vanover's out call in the top of the 9th inning of the Angels-Blue Jays game. In the 5th, with two out and two on, Angels baserunner R3 Raul Ibanez attempted to score on a wild pitch and was tagged by Blue Jays catcher Dioner Navarro as he slid into home plate. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Blue Jays Manager John Gibbons, Hernandez's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Angels were leading, 3-2.
In the 7th, with two outs and none on, Blue Jays batter Chris Getz hit a 1-1 fastball from Angels pitcher Garrett Richards on the ground to shortstop Erick Aybar, who threw to first baseman Albert Pujols as Getz arrived at first base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Jays Mgr Gibbons, Johnson's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Angels were leading, 3-2.

Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Angels Manager Mike Scioscia, Vanover's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Angels were leading, 4-3. The Angels ultimately won the contest, 4-3.
