Instant Replay Review upheld 2B Umpire Chris Segal's safe call in the bottom of the 8th inning of the Cubs-Giants game. With one out and one on, Giants baserunner Angel Pagan attempted to steal second base off Cubs catcher Wellington Castillo, who threw to second baseman Darwin Barney as Pagan slid into second base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Cubs Manager Rick Renteria, Segal's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Cubs were leading, 8-4. The Cubs ultimately won the contest, 8-4.
