Instant Replay Review upheld 2B Umpire Cory Blaser's safe call in the bottom of the 3rd inning of the Twins-Indians game. With two out and three on, Indians batter Michael Brantley hit a 0-1 splitter from Twins pitcher Ricky Nolasco on a line drive off the glove of first baseman Chris Colabello to right fielder Jason Kubel, who threw to second baseman Brian Dozier as Brantley slid into second base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Twins Manager Ron Gardenhire, Blaser's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Indians were leading, 2-1. The Indians ultimately won the contest, 4-3.
