With one out and one on, Pirates batter Tony Sanchez attempted to check his swing on a 2-2 fastball from Orioles pitcher Bud Norris as the ball deflected off the bat/knob/hand area near Sanchez's hand. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Orioles Manager Buck Showalter, Hoberg's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the contest was tied, 0-0. The Orioles ultimately won the contest, 5-1.
