Instant Replay Review upheld HP Umpire Mike DiMuro's Rule 7.13 violation no-call (out) in the bottom of the 5th and 1B Umpire Hunter Wendelstedt's safe call in the bottom of the 6th inning of the Phillies-Dodgers game. In the 5th, with one out and two on, Dodgers batter Yasiel Puig hit a 1-1 cutter from Phillies pitcher Kyle Kendrick on the ground to third baseman Cody Asche, who threw to catcher Carlos Ruiz as Dodgers baserunner R3 Hanley Ramirez arrived at home plate. Upon Instant Replay Review as the result of a request by Dodgers Manager Don Mattingly and initiation by Crew Chief Hunter Wendelstedt, DiMuro's ruling that Ruiz did not block home plate without the ball and remained in compliance with the terms of the anti-home plate collision Rule 7.13 in tagging out Ramirez was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Phillies were leading, 3-2.
In the 6th, with none out and none on, Dodgers batter Juan Uribe 2-2 cutter from Phillies pitcher Kendrick on the ground to shortstop Freddy Galvis, who threw to first baseman Ryan Howard as Uribe arrived at first base. Upon Instant Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Phillies Manager Ryne Sandberg, Wendelstedt's ruling that Howard did not catch the ball and tag first base prior to Uribe's touch arrival was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Phillies were leading, 3-2. The Phillies ultimately won the contest, 7-3.

Wouldn't surprise me if he retired. If he does, he deserves it. Personally, I liked him better with the 'stache.
