Instant Replay Review confirmed HP Umpire Mark Wegner's Rule 7.13 violation no-call (out) in the bottom of the 4th inning of the Blue Jays-Royals game. With one out and one on, Royals batter Alex Gordon hit a 1-0 change up from Blue Jays pitcher Drew Hutchison on the ground to shortstop Jose Reyes, who threw to catcher Dioner Navarro as Royals baserunner R3 Eric Hosmer arrived at home plate. Upon Replay Review as the result of a request by Royals Manager Ned Yost and initiation by crew chief Bob Davidson (home-plate collision), Wegner's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Royals were leading, 2-0. The Royals ultimately won the contest, 4-2.
