Instant Replay Review upheld 1B Umpire Lance Barrett's safe call in the bottom of the 8th inning of the Indians-Tigers game. With none out and one on, Tigers batter Ian Kinsler bunted a 1-1 curveball from Indians pitcher Cody Allen on the ground to third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall, who threw to first baseman Nick Swisher as Kinsler arrived at first base. Upon Instant Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Indians Manager Terry Francona, Barrett's ruling that Swisher did not catch the ball and tag first base prior to Kinsler's touch arrivals was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Indians were leading, 3-1. The Indians ultimately won the contest, 3-2.
