Instant Replay Review upheld 1B Umpire Chris Conroy's safe call in the bottom of the 4th inning of the Blue Jays-Orioles game. With one out and one on, Orioles batter Steve Lombardozzi bunted a 1-0 fastball from Blue Jays pitcher Drew Hutchison on the ground back to Hutchison, who threw to first baseman Edwin Encarnacion as Lombardozzi arrived at first base. Upon Instant Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Blue Jays Manager John Gibbons, Conroy's ruling that Encarnacion did not catch the ball and properly tag first base prior to Lombardozzi's touch arrival was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the contest was tied, 0-0. The Orioles ultimately won the contest, 2-1, in 12 innings.
