Instant Replay Review confirmed HP Umpire DJ Reyburn's ball (hit-by-pitch non-) call in the bottom of the 9th inning of the Rays-Reds game. With none out and none on, Reds batter Brandon Phillips took a 0-1 curveball from Rays pitcher David Price for a called first ball. Upon Instant Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Reds Manager Bryan Price, Reyburn's ruling that the ball bounced in the dirt, was fumbled by Rays catcher Jose Molina and did not hit Phillips was affirmed, the call was correct. Phillips went on to strike out for the first out of the inning. At the time of the review, the Rays were leading, 2-0. The Rays ultimately won the contest, 2-1.
