MLB Instant Replay Review 065: Adam Hamari (01)

Instant Replay Review confirmed HP Umpire Adam Hamari's Rule 7.13 non-call (out) in the top of the 6th inning of the Athletics-Twins game. With one out and two on, Athletics batter Josh Donaldson hit a 1-2 curveball from Twins pitcher Samuel Deduno on a line drive to center fielder Aaron Hicks, who threw to catcher Josmil Pinto as A's baserunner R2 Jed Lowrie arrived at home plate. Upon Instant Replay Review as the result of a request by Athletics Manager Bob Melvin and initiation by Crew Chief Bill Miller, Hamari's ruling that Deduno did not violate Rule 7.13 in that he did not block home plate prior to tagging Hicks while off his base was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Athletics were leading, 6-1. The Athletics ultimately won the contest, 6-1.
