MLB Instant Replay Review 006: Cory Blaser (01)

Instant Replay Review overturned 2B Umpire Cory Blaser's safe call in the top of the 6th inning of the Phillies-Rangers game. With one out and two on, Rangers pitcher Martin Perez threw to second baseman Donnie Murphy as Phillies baserunner R2 Ben Revere dove back into second base. Upon instant replay review as the result of a challenge by Rangers Manager Ron Washington, Blaser's ruling that Murphy did not tag Revere before Revere's return and touch of second base was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Phillies were leading, 1-0. The Rangers ultimately won the contest, 3-2.
