MLB Instant Replay Review S-19: Scott Barry (S-1)

Instant replay affirmed HP Umpire Scott Barry's safe call in the top of the 9th inning of the White Sox-Brewers game. With one out and two on, White Sox batter Jeff Keppinger hit a 1-0 pitch from Brewers pitcher Michael Blazek to third baseman Elian Herrera, who threw home to catcher Lucas May as White Sox baserunner R3 Jared Mitchell arrived at home plate. Upon instant replay review as the result of a challenge by Brewers Manager Ron Roenicke, Barry's ruling that May did not tag Mitchell prior to Mitchell's touch arrival was upheld, the call was correct. At the time of the instant replay review, the White Sox were leading, 4-3. The White Sox ultimately won the contest, 6-3.
