Instant replay confirmed 1B Umpire Jeff Nelson's out call in the bottom of the 2nd inning of the Yankees-Astros game. With none out and one on, Astros batter Jonathan Villar bunted a 0-0 pitch from Yankees pitcher Ivan Nova to first baseman Mark Teixeira who threw to second baseman Eduardo Nunez as Villar arrived at first base. Upon instant replay review as the result of a challenge by Astros Manager Bo Porter, Nelson's ruling that Nunez tagged first base with his foot before Villar touched the base was upheld, the call was correct.
