MLB Ejections 175: Eric Cooper (2; Munenori Kawasaki)

1B Umpire Eric Cooper ejected Blue Jays DH Munenori Kawasaki for arguing an out call in the top of the 8th inning of the Blue Jays-Red Sox game. With one out and one on, Blue Jays batter Kawasaki hit a 2-2 fastball

from Red Sox pitcher Ryan Dempster back to Dempster, deflected to second baseman Dustin Pedroia, who threw to first baseman Will Middlebrooks as Kawasaki arrived. Replays indicate Kawasaki's left foot contacted the first base bag prior to the ball entering Middlebrooks' glove, the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the Blue Jays were leading, 3-2. The Blue Jays ultimately won the contest, 4-2.
