Gibbons didn't get ejected according to mlb gameday/at bat
ReplyDeleteWSH vs MIA are still in a rain delay??? 6 hours plus umps, Shocked they have not postponed
ReplyDeleteYeah Gibbons was not ejected. The initial box score said he was and Kawasaki was not. But Cooper just tossed Kawasaki for the helmet throw. You can see Gibbons later in the game in the dugout.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they _really_ didn't want to schedule a double-header for tomorrow, which is the home date of the season for the Nats, and the last time the Marlins play them this year. The weather's iffy for DC tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThe fish already have their tee times set, but Washington isn't completely dead. If they get hot, and either Cincinnati or Pittsburgh tank, they've still got a wildcard shot. I'm guessing nobody wants to get the two teams back for a single game (or worse yet, two) to decide if the Nats make the playoffs.
