MLB Ejection 174: Mark Carlson (2; Clint Hurdle)

HP Umpire Mark Carlson ejected Pirates Manager Clint Hurdle for arguing warnings (Unsportsmanlike-NEC)

in the bottom of the 8th inning of the Reds-Pirates game. With none out and none on, Pirates batter Andrew McCutchen took a 2-2 fastball from Reds pitcher Sam LeCure for a hit by pitch. Replays indicate the pitch struck McCutchen's upper left arm, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejection, the Pirates were leading, 5-2. The Reds ultimately won the contest, 6-5, in 10 innings.
