MLB Ejection 061: Dale Scott (1; Mark Parent)

HP Umpire Dale Scott ejected White Sox Bench Coach Mark Parent for arguing a strike two in the top of the 7th inning of the White Sox-Mariners game. With one out and one on, White Sox batter Jeff Keppinger took a fastball from Mariners pitcher Yoervis Medina for a called second strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located at the hollow of the knee and over the outer half of home plate (sz_bot 1.5, pz 1.575), the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Mariners led, 4-1. The Mariners ultimately won the contest, 4-2.

Crew Chief Dale Scott now has 3 points in the Crew Division (2 Previous + 1 Correct Call = 3).

This is the 61st ejection of 2013.
This the White Sox's 1st ejection of 2013, T-3rd in the AL Central (CLE 3; KC 2; CWS, DET, MIN 1).
This is Mark Parent's first ejection since September 8, 2012 (Mark Carlson; QOC = N).

Dale Scott seems to be 'slightly' pitcher friendly low and outside.

Why no video?

This has absolutely nothing to do with this ejection... but following Marty Foster's ejections in KC, he is no longer with his crew. He was out all of last week, and he is with Tim McClelland's crew in DC for Mets-Nationals series.

Mike Carp got ejecte by Andy Fletcher while his team is leading 17-5

He was just embarrassed that David Murphy, the starting LF, struck him out on a borderline pitch high. But even I as a die-hard Red Sox fan agree, it was uncalled for.

Just saw in the box score that Jordan Baker ejected Alan Trammel.

This one may not ever appear in the box score, but immediately following the end of the Indians-Yankees game, Tony Randazzo ejected Mike Aviles for arguing a foul ball call in the at-bat. It looks like the ball bounced off of the catcher's glove, not Aviles bat. Randazzo called a foul, and after Aviles flew out, he argued the call a second time and Randazzo ejected him.

I stand corrected, it just went into the box score

Just a random rambling...I thought I was going to get to see a couple of Indie Ball ejections in person tonight, as there was a couple of close plays argued at first in the Winnipeg-Sioux Falls American Association game. But nooooooo, everyone had to act like mature adults and stay in the game. Whoa is me.

You could have always gotten yourself tossed =P

Cardinals announcers are giving Baker a hard time for throwing his gum outinto the outfield. I read am article about the same thing a few days ago. you would thinks gut trying to get a full time job would stop that crap.

On one of the close plays it looked like the runner beat the throw, but never touched first base, and was called out. I wanted to consult with the ump, and see if he called it the way I called it in my head, more or less for my own educational purposes. However, I figured he probably wasn't going to come over to the stands and chat with me, and if I tried to get his attention I was just going to look like a drunken heckler. So, needless to say, I didn't get to have my desired in-game ump chat. And, had I run on the field to ask him I would have gotten myself escorted out by security, hence fulfilling the suggestion that I get myself run.

Apparently Tim Timmons also ejected Bud Black tonight

I didn't get a great look at it, but it appeared to me in real time that he had control of the ball as he hit the bag but only lost it when he hit the ground

yes that helps, thank you, i was having an argument with a friend (hes a Giants fan) about it.
