This is a minor nitpick but the order of some of these ejections is wrong. If you ant to be Official it should be ejection 51=Tichneor, 52=Wendlstedt, 53=Knight, 54= Vanover, 55= West
Fredi doesn't argue these calls enough, so it was unusual for him to get upset. What may have set him off was, in the previous half inning, Jason Heyward was called out on a pitch that appeared to be about a foot outside.
How many games have you worked this year?
Hard to be an "umpire evaluator" without having umpired a game.
Freddie wanted out of the throwback,,,can't say I blame him.
How am I being an Umpire evaluator? The only reason I said Tichenor should be ejection 51, Wendlstedt should be ejection 52 and so on and so forth is because the Tichenor ejection happened earlier in the day than the Wendlstedt ejection. Nothing else besides that. I was not saying anything about being an Umpire evaluator, I was not criticizing any Umpires, but I think the ejections should be listed on this website in the correct order that they occured.
Can I see the pitch sequence plot for the whole game please
Man, there are some unintelligent people on this site.
Read Gil's latest post: "Triple A Scout" Russ. What makes you qualified to be a scout in ANY way if you have never umpired a game?
I never claimed to be a scout, Gil's the one who gave me that title. I'm just someone who follows MLB and MILB UMpiring very closely. I'm not sure what rubbed you the wrong way with my post above, but I really was not trying to cause any trouble and am still not. I am not qualified to be a scout/Umpire evaluator and never claimed to be. I am a big fan of Umpires and asmire all the work they do and will continue to do so. I'm just trying to figure out what I said wrong above because i am not seeing anything that is remotely criticizing Umpires on THIS particular thread.
And BTW, I do Umpire games. I work lower levels and am not all that great but I do not have no experience like you seem to think I do. I just have pretty minimal experience. You are probably a better uMpire than me and that is all well and good, but I don't understand why it matters how much experience someone has as an Umpire? I have been a member of this website since the cascreamindude days back in 2009 and have learned things that I use on the field to try and make myself better. Again, I am not a scout nor did I ever claim to be but I am a fan and was not trying to come across as any more than that.
Russ, do not worry about these individuals. Your contribution to this site through your comments and AAA watch is appreciated, at least from my point of view.
