With none out and none on, Mariners batter Kyle Seager hit a 2-0 fastball from Indians pitcher Vinnie Pestano to right fielder Shin-Soo Choo who threw to second base in an attempt to retire Seager. Replays indicate Seager successfully pulled his right arm back while reaching for second base with his left hand and was not tagged prior to contacting second base, the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the contest was tied, 1-1. The Mariners ultimately won the contest, 3-1.
