With one out and one on, Astros batter Matt Downs took a 0-0 sinker from Rangers pitcher Michael Kirkman for a called strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located thigh high and over the heart of home plate (norm_ht of -.976), the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Rangers were leading, 9-3. The Rangers ultimately won the contest, 9-3.
